Lord of the Flies has a very good theme. There is many different books with a similar setting, people stranded on an island, but in this book it is very unique. On the island, there was a plane that crashed, the pilot died and all of the passengers were children. "In the middle of the scar he stood on his head and grinned at the reversal fat boy. 'No grownups!'" (Golding 8). at first the children are excited about not having any adults and think they can have fun and are free from rules, but a group of children will have trouble surviving without any adults.
My dad had to read this in high school. How does the plane crash?
ReplyDeleteGood way to explain the theme and explain the quotes and connect them to the theme.
