In the first chapter of my summer reading book it describes all of the men who were sent to Iwo Jima and how they thought that they weren't ever going to become heels and how they were drafted to the war. But this group ended up making one of the most famous pictures of WWII . However the surviving group members didn't view themselves as heros and the told everyone that the ones who died were the heroes. But today we see theses men in this famous picture as a symbol of america winning world war II and the battle of Iwo Jima.
